The
Juvenile Accountability Incentive Block Grants (JAIBG) program is administered
by the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP), a program
in the Office of Justice Programs, U.S. Department of Justice. Through the JAIBG
program, funds are provided as block grants to States for programs promoting greater
accountability in the juvenile justice system. Local and tribal governments can
then apply for funds to support local accountability programs.
The Development
Services Group (DSG) serves as the National Technical Assistance Provider to ensure
that comprehensive technical assistance and training is available to States and
local units of government. The goal of this training and technical assistance
is to provide States and units of local government with the means to implement
state-of-the-art accountability-based programs in any of 12 program purpose areas.
With this goal in mind, DSG developed and maintains a National Training and Technical
Assistance Alliance that utilizes the nation's best known and most respected experts
in the field of juvenile justice.
