SEARCH MPG PROGRAMS
The MPG contains summary information (program description, evaluation design, research findings, references, and contact information) on evidence-based delinquency prevention and intervention programs. Programs are categorized into exemplary, effective, and promising, based on a set of methodological criteria and the strength of the findings. The MPG database can be queried through two methods:
Search the Entire Database to Full MPG Search
The Full MPG Search can perform queries of the entire database by continuum phase; age group; ethnicity; gender; problem area; offender groups; target settings; target strategies; program type; or any combination of the above. The database is designed to assist communities in locating scientifically tested and proven (evidence-based) programs and strategies across the continuum to ensure that their efforts can make a difference. All practitioners in juvenile justice will find this technical assistance tool a valuable resource.
Search for Prevention Programs Using the Risk & Protective Factor Model
This part of the MPG is designed for communities that have prioritized their risk factors, identified gaps in protective factors and other developmental, demographic, and programmatic gaps that may exist, and assessed their community's resources. The database is designed to assist communities in identifying delinquency prevention strategies that will fit their needs, enhance their individual efforts, and make a difference in their communities. Communities participating in Title V training should use this search tool to identify evidence-based prevention programs. Just follow three easy steps.
