CrimeSolutions.gov: Evidence Assessment of Justice Programs and Practices

For the Office of Justice Programs (OJP), U.S. Department of Justice, DSG conducts an evidence assessment of justice programs and practices that encompasses a range of criminal justice topics. CrimeSolutions.gov, launched in June 2011, is a searchable database of evidence-based programs and practices in corrections and reentry, courts, crime and crime prevention, drugs and substance abuse, juvenile justice, law enforcement, and victims and victimization. It is the centerpiece of OJP’s efforts to translate evidence into practice.

This project supports the Office of the Assistant Attorney General’s Evidence Integration Initiative (E2I), which aims to improve the management of research knowledge and better integrate research evidence into practice and policy decisions within OJP and the criminal justice field. DSG has teamed with more than 50 leading national experts in criminal justice and corrections from 30 universities who are reviewing the research in the field and rating programs and practices for inclusion on CrimeSolutions.gov.
